Hi there!

I had such an awesome weekend at Blend Retreat!

I’ll be sure to give you all a full recap but since I didn’t get home until last night and have a busy day, it won’t be today.

Instead I’m sharing a fun survey I saw a while back and have been meaning to post for some time.

Mealtime Survey

REAKFAST

1. Favorite cereal as a child?

Hmmm…  I’m not sure.  I actually don’t remember eating a ton of cereal.  To be honest, I’ve never been a huge fan of cereal.  Well, except when I was pregnant and couldn’t get enough Life cereal.  Super random craving but that’s probably what I enjoyed as a kid too!

2. Coffee or Tea? With milk or without?

I love both but definitely enjoy my coffee more than tea.  I tend to drink tea in the cooler months during the day or into the evening.  Coffee is my comfort drink first thing in the morning regardless of the weather.  I used to drink it with creamer but now use a little bit of whole fat coconut milk, drink it Bulletproof style or nothing at all.

3. The one food you eat most often at breakfast?

Fried eggs.  Funny I used to only eat scrambled eggs and most the time that was only egg whites.  After The Love Nugget was born I discovered a new love for fried eggs over veggies, with bacon, on top of sweet potatoes, or just by themselves!

LUNCH

1. Sandwiches are generally considered a “lunch food.” If you had to choose between a grilled cheese and a peanut butter and jelly, which would you pick?

Well if you read my blog you know I don’t really eat bread so sandwiches aren’t a normal meal for me at all.  I’ve actually never been a huge bread person so don’t miss it and enjoy my “sandwiches” on lettuce wraps.  However, if I HAD to choose I guess I would pick nut butter and jelly.  I’ve never been a huge grilled cheese person.

2. You can only put four ingredients in your salad (not including greens); what do you throw in the mix? Additionally, which greens and dressing do you pick?

Oh I love adding so many toppings to my salads!  Hmmm… only four…   I’d go for a mixed organic baby greens with grilled chicken, hearts of palm, avocado and strawberries.  A little sweet and savory :-)

3. One food you can’t live without at lunch?

I don’t know that I eat the same food everyday but I pretty much have carrot sticks with or around lunch almost everyday so I’d have to say carrot sticks.

DINNER

1. It’s the end of the day. You’re tired, hungry, and your fridge is empty. If a fast food (from a chain) is your only option, where do you go and what do you order?

I don’t do fast food at all so this one is tough.  I’d prefer to go to a grocery store and get something fast to eat over a fast food restaurant.  However, if I had to choose I guess I’d say Chipotle even though I’ve only been once and didn’t really love it.  I’m pretty hard to please when it comes to food but at least I would know it’s GMO free!

2. TV/computer on or off while you’re eating?

Most the time the TV is off although sometimes in the evenings we forget to turn it off after watching the news so it’s on in the background.  However, I’m not that great at leaving my computer off while eating.  During breakfast and lunch I’m almost always also browsing online, responding to emails or blogging.  I’m just a multitasker by nature 😉

3. The one food you eat most often at dinner?

Broccoli.  Funny one right?  It’s the one veggie that my husband and son both enjoy.  Plus I love it too :-)

DESSERT

1. Choose between these two American desserts: cheesecake or apple pie?

Cheesecake is always so good but I can only have a few bites since it’s so rich!  I’m a big pie fan though and always have been.  If you asked me cake or pie I’d choose pie hands down!

2. Choose between these two foreign desserts: tiramisu (Italy) or flan (Spain)?

Honestly don’t really like either but we did have an awesome Tiramisu while in Italy so I’d go with that.

3. Ice cream: cone or cup?

Cup.  When I was in high school I worked in an ice cream shop and used to make the homemade waffle cones.  The smell of them brings back so many memories and every once in awhile The Hubby will get one and I’ll steal a bite :-)

Your turn!  Pick a few and answer :-)
